New York City Marathon

A very effective way to get healthy is to start running. One great thing you can do to really light a fire under your ass is to set a goal of running in a marathon such as the New York City Marathon (as a New Yorker I'm partial, of course!)

It's probably a good idea to start with a less ambitious goal like running in a 5K and once you've done that perhaps running a particular time in a 5K (such as less than 25 minutes.) And then you can move on to a half-marathon and from there the next step is a full marathon (26 miles!)

When you combine running with a great diet like The Day Off Diet then you have amazing weight loss results. I really think that's the way to go. Don't just exercise and don't just watch what you eat. I know you may not want to hear this: But you need to do both!
